Plan B NOLAIn Summer 2017, ReJAC launched PLAN B NOLA, providing free and by-donation emergency contraception (EC aka "the morning after pill") to people in the greater New Orleans area with the help of community partners.
In January 2018 we launched our Healthline. If you are in the Greater New Orleans area and need EC, you can simply text our hotline (504-264-3656) and one of our Community Support Members (CSMs) will meet you to bring you the EC, condoms, a pregnancy test to take later, and some information on local resources. Donate or learn more about this project. |
Plan B NOLA Reproductive Health ZineReJAC created the Plan B Nola Reproductive Health Zine in summer 2017 and released an update in spring 2019.
It is a paper zine (magazine) with info about EC, sex ed, birth control, & health resources in the greater New Orleans area & online. It is available at public libraries, community outposts, in Plan B Nola EC packets, & from other New Orleans partners. It has been showcased at the American Library Association annual conference and the New Orleans Comic and Zine Fest (NOCAZ). Available versions:
[Image description: hand-drawn Zine cover with the words "The Plan B Reproductive Health Zine: A resource guide by ReJAC". A cluster of irises is in the center of the zine with decorative geometric shapes. On the lower righthand side is the text "Text or call 504-264-3656 for free or by donation emergency contraception (EC, aka "the morning after pill," Plan B") with a small graphic of a Plan B pill container. |
